Seeing pictures of my old school has brought back some wonderful memories. I attended Clifford Rd from 76-82, Mr Llewellyn was headmaster, and Miss elliott was my favourite teacher, she was brilliant, a clearly gifted teacher! where is she now, does anyone know?
I recall learning to swim in the pool, and trying to rescue a fellow pupil in my pj's. What a fantastic school it was, and clearly still is.

I was a pupil at Clifford Road in the 1970s and remember Mr Llewellyn really well. Also, a teacher called Basil with big bushy eyebrows! I'm really pleased the school is doing so well now.

Spending time with my new computer, I checked out some old haunts. Came across Clifford Road School. I was there for some of WWII, when we lived in Melville Rd and came to school through the "passages." I won a scholarship to "The Northgate." My parents left school in their early teens but believed in a good education for their children and we were lucky since there were opportunities in our time for the working class kids to get a university education. Clifford Road School was part of that. It was good to me. So thanks to the fearsome Miss Gage, then Headmistress, Miss Tibbenham, Miss Brown, and to a rare male teacher who threw chalk at kids who didn't shut their eyes during prayers. All best wishes to you. joan

I was wondering - Does anyone have some contact details for Ms Crossan? She was my teacher at CRPS, i think I was there from 1986 to 1992, she was Scottish but she moved back to Scotland. She always sang "Moon River" when she did playground duty. She was so cool.
Does anyone know what happended to Mr Mason? I had the biggest crush on him!
Mr Cove - we all love you - you're the best head master any kid could ever wish for. I hope you're doing well and you're healthy and happy. You really are a truely amazing teacher! Thank you for introducing me to the Beatles in our assembly songs (although I never realised until I was older!!).
Thank you!

Hi,

I used was at the glorious Clifford Road until 1985.

I just thought I would let everyone know that there is now a facebook group dedicated to the school and its past pupils / teachers etc. might be good if some staff were to join to give their memories as its mainly pupils so far :)

Cheers All
