Discovered in 1989, the Clifford Road air raid shelter is a unique example of public shelters which were once common place in towns during the second world war. The shelter has been equipped as a 2nd World War museum and is open to the public. An education service provides special facilities for school parties of all ages.

Family (2 Adults and up to four children) - £7
Group bookings of 10 or more by appointment - £2.50
There is ample parking in the playground via the Woodville Road entrance.
School Bookings during term time
Maximum class size 30 @ £1 per child. Enquiries/bookings tel: 01473 251605. The shelter is open autumn 1 and summer term.
