Below is a powerpoint of Saint Saens Carnival of the Animal. It is a really interesting composition.
Listen to the different tracks and think about how the composer has made the music sound like different animals..listen to the tempo(how fast and slow it is), the instruments used, loud and quiet.

Then on a piece of paper see if you can create some of the different animals...what would they look like? What characteristics would they have? Will you use colour or leave your drawing in black and white?

You could also make puppets for each piece.... or an animal  mask...create a skeleton using twigs or straws...create a collage

....make a model using play dough or clay or plasticine

You may also want to look up the different animals to find out what they look you have toy animals at home that you could look at
