Whilst we are in lockdown, I would like to create a virtual gallery so that we can continue to share the children’s artwork. Many thanks, Mrs Wilson
Here are some projects I would like you to submit photos of:
Recreating a Masterpiece
No art resources are needed for this! Choose a well-known piece of art (painting or sculpture) and recreate it using yourself/your family and any objects/props. You could even use toy figures/ dolls. See below for inspiration.
Send your photos to Office@cliffordroad.suffolk.sch.uk and label it FAO Mrs Wilson virtual art gallery please also include a picture of the original art piece, and the artist and name of the piece if you know this.
Great British Bunting
Friday 8th May 2020 will be the 75th anniversary of VE day when the guns fell silent and marked the end of the Second World War in Europe. The school has worked on many projects in the lead up to this day so it would be wonderful if we could mark the event by displaying bunting in our windows. This way, even though we cannot be together, we will still be sharing our pride and gratitude to the men and women of world war two. See the BBC link below for all the details, including how to make the bunting.
Send your photos to Office@cliffordroad.suffolk.sch.uk and label it FAO Mrs Wilson virtual art gallery

Art, craft and design embody some of the highest forms of human creativity. A high-quality art and design education will engage, inspire and challenge pupils, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own works of art, craft and design. As pupils progress, they will be able to think critically and develop a more rigorous understanding of art and design. They will also know how art and design both reflect and shape our history, and contribute to the culture, creativity and wealth of our nation.
The national curriculum for art and design aims to ensure that all pupils:
produce creative work, exploring their ideas and recording their experiences
become proficient in drawing, painting, sculpture and other art, craft and design techniques
evaluate and analyse creative works using the language of art, craft and design
know about great artists, craft makers and designers, and understand the historical and cultural development of their art forms.
