Clifford Road Primary Wellbeing Week 2018
Clifford Road Primary Wellbeing Week took place during the week of 24th – 28th September. This coincided with National Fitness Day, which was on Wednesday 26th September.
During this week, all children had the opportunity to experience a variety of enrichment activities to increase their general physical and mental wellbeing.
Some of the activities organised during the week included: traditional Indian dance, archery, tai chi, fitness training, fencing, singing, parachute games, dance and healthy eating workshops.
We also be welcomed Helen Rose Clark from One Life Suffolk on Wednesday 26th September, who held a healthy choices assembly for all the children followed by workshops.
During our English lessons we focused on specially selected books that have a wellbeing message and we promoted how reading for pleasure can have a positive effect on our mental wellbeing. Children were encouraged to visit our library at lunchtimes and enjoy wellbeing themed stories and activities.
