Your Amazing Work!

Alice has used some excellent colour choices when illustrating these pictures.

Baseer has been busy reading!  Look at this pyramid of books that he got!  I wonder which was the best?  Have a look at his amazing book review to find out. He still has a little to do on the review, but it looks brilliant!

Alice has designed and made an Anglo Saxon sword head out of clay.

Mercedes has been busy riding her bike, walking, writing a fact file on Greece, learning some French and having fun learning about the artists from our art unit on Seascapes.  I am particularly impressed with her seascape canvass, with her creative ideas using sand, stones and paints to make a scene.  BRILLIANT!

WE ARE RECORD BREAKERS!

Some of us took part in Rob Biddulph's World Record challenge in May.  It is official!  He had 45, 611 people all drawing at the same time!  Look out for this in the next edition of the Guinness Book of Records.

If anyone did it, and has printed their certificate, we would love to see a picture of your work and certificate and you, if you would like to.

Here are ours...

Flo did her version of Monet's 'Waterlilies'. She also wrote about the Monet painting that is part of our Seascapes work. I love how she has made her painting similar to Monet's, using brush strokes carefully. Well done.Flo!

Alice has been printing with potatoes

We are Record Breakers! The whale pictures below are all from an amazing record breaking attempt, on Thursday 21st March, where author and artist, Rob Biddulph lead an online art tutorial, live. Aren't they all cute?

Keira and Ruth took part in Rob Biddulph's Record Breaking Art lesson and produced these amazing whales.

Lara did too...

Toby's been practising football so much he's worn his lawn out!

Saul has made a bird box and planted sunflowers.

Mercedes tried the science 'eggsperiment' and did a painting in the style of William Henry Hunt.

Lara has been enjoying converting between units of length
