A Wartime Christmas
In phase 4 we looked at Christmas during wartime. Each class started with an object that they explored using either drama or music. Those focusing on music looked at how important radios were during the war. For some this was seen as a lifeline and an object that could bring joy to families during an unsettling time. Children learnt wartime songs, played a variety of instruments and used dance and drama to portray different scenes. Those focusing on drama learnt and performed a story around their objects. They used a variety of techniques to explore the thoughts of feelings that children would have had at this time.
