The community at Clifford Road Primary School warmly welcomes you. Our children, staff and governors are both pleased and proud to share with you a little about our school and encourage you to pay us a visit. In the meantime, please browse our website where you will gain an insight into life and learning at our wonderful school.

We are a two-form entry primary school with a Nursery. We are situated on Clifford Road in the heart of Ipswich and are built on the history of the town. Beneath our feet, the playground has World War 2 Air raid tunnels that schools and visitors are able to explore via our Clifford Road Tunnels group. Clifford Road is a nurturing and inclusive learning community where children and staff alike value being kind, respectful and honest in our endeavours to be the best we can be. As a staff, we feel it is our duty to foster and celebrate a love of learning through developing children who are self-confident, hardworking and resilient. All members of staff and pupils realise the importance of learning and everyone engages to develop and progress our understanding.

As the new headteacher, starting my role in September 2024, I have been struck by the enthusiasm the children have for learning, the support and encouragement they have for each other and the desire they have to show and be their best. Clifford Road staff have clearly demonstrated the deep commitment they have for our children and an unwavering energy to provide and deliver engaging, high quality teaching that captures the curiosity and captivates interests of our children.
