'Work Furnace' Workshop 

Children from year 4 and 6 took part in a drama workshop with Jack from Eastern Angles Theatre. This was part of a large scale project, 'The Work Furnace', which explores Ipswich's industrial past. The project will bring to life the stories of the workers who kept the town's industries of baking, manufacturing, agricultural machinery, clothes, and ironworks alive in the post war years. In this workshop the children explored photos from the 60s and 70s and produced creative responses showing the commute to work. 

Next term the children will have the opportunity to take part in a parade through town.
