Year 4

Welcome back to the Year Four pages

What's new?

You may have noticed that I have begun to read George's Marvellous Medicine to you on YouTube.  It is a bit scary for me but I'm sure that if you watch it, you'll be kind! I will pop some work linked to this under the language skills tab  but you don't have to do it if you don't want to.  I'd love to hear some suggestions of what you'd like to hear read - they will need to be quite short though.  Over half term, Miss Rivett and I will be putting some new pieces of work together ready for after the break.

Don't forget to keep in touch - we'd love to hear from all of you.

Don't forget to check out the BBC iPlayer and Red Button service for specially-designed educational programming and lessons for every year group.  The programmes are live at 9a.m. but if you're busy doing PE with Joe then you can catch up later in the day.  There are also programmes and podcasts available on the BBC Sounds App.  Lots of your favourite presenters have been working on these so do check them out.

Stay safe, stay strong, stay home.

Have you seen this?  This is a great website with a suggested daily timetable, videos, games and activities especially for your year group.  Some of it may seem familiar, as I have used resources from their teacher collection on the website too. We hope you enjoy it.

Parents - we just want to say that you are doing a great job and thank you so much for your efforts to keep the learning going.  Below are some brilliant ideas for themed learning projects from the Robin Hood Trust.  Each week-long project has its own topic and covers a broad range of subjects and fun, educational activities.  These are low-stress and worthwhile - we'd love to know how you are getting on with them.  I have included the link to the website so you can access previous week's or another year group's projects.
