Your Story: Our History
Our mural tells the story of the school during the Second World War. Mrs. Ruiz and Mrs. Wilson worked with groups of children across key stage 2, showing them extracts from the head teacher’s diary and punishment book from the war years. They made drawings and freeze-frames of various events. The children then selected the ones they thought should be depicted on the mural. These were sent to the artist Lisa Temple Cox and she incorporated them into her fantastic design.
Children from reception to year 6 were involved in the painting, and quite a few TAs, teachers, support staff, MDSAs and kitchen staff got involved too!
