In our Early Year Foundation Stage, we nurture creative, independent and inquisitive learners through meaningful adult interaction, language rich environments and high-quality play. We inspire curiosity, imagination and a love of learning, enabling children to become confident, intrinsically motivated explorers of the world around them.
In Nursery and Reception, our curriculum is delivered through a play-based approach, supported by a balance of adult-led teaching and child-initiated learning. We provide well-planned, purposeful enhancements both indoors and outdoors, with free-flow access to enable children to explore and follow their interests. High-quality adult interaction is at the heart of our practice, with strong relationships built from the very beginning to ensure every child feels safe, valued and understood. We place a strong emphasis on developing children’s vocabulary through rich conversations, modelling language and introducing new words in meaningful contexts.
As a result, children become happy, polite, creative and inquisitive learners. They develop confidence, independence and a love of learning, equipping them with the skills they need not only for the next stage of school, but for life.
We offer a 26-place Nursery, led by a qualified teacher and supported by a team of experienced Early Years Practitioners. This ensures a strong focus on learning through play, alongside attentive care and support tailored to each child’s needs.
Our Reception year is made up of two classes (two-form entry). Each class is led by a qualified teacher and supported by a Teaching Assistant, enabling us to provide focused teaching, enhanced continuous provision.
