At Clifford Road Primary School and Nursery, our dedicated EAL Support Teacher, Mrs Hazara Khatun‑Choudhury, plays a key role in helping our children feel confident and successful in their learning. She provides tailored 1:1 support in reading and phonics, helping children to develop their early language skills and build strong foundations in English. Mrs Khatun‑Choudhury also supports children who are new to English, offering gentle guidance and encouragement as they begin their language journey. Working both in small groups and within the classroom alongside teachers, she ensures that all pupils are included, understood, and able to take part fully in their learning, fostering confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging.
