English Proficiency
At Clifford Road Primary School and Nursery, we use the Bell Foundation EAL Assessment Framework to carefully assess our pupils’ English language proficiency and ensure they receive the support they need to succeed. This framework allows us to identify each child’s stage of language development across speaking, listening, reading, and writing, helping us to build a clear and accurate picture of their progress. By using these assessments, we are able to plan targeted support, adapt teaching within the classroom, and provide personalised interventions where needed. This ensures that all of our EAL learners are supported effectively, enabling them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
